1812

Settlement.

Albion Farm was settled in 1812 by John Tucker, making it the first land settled in the Hunter Valley. Local historians say it is the oldest, continuously farmed land in Australia.

1823

The Barn.

The barn, now a wedding centre, dates back to 1823 and features a large timber structure with round posts. Its cellar once stored wine from the twelve-acre vineyard in front.

1865

Gracemere.

In 1865, Gracemere was a division of Albion Farm. Since then, it has undergone a remarkable transformation fueled by energy, dedication, and creativity. Here lies the Boat House Garden, the Stone Bridge, and The Muse.

1971

The Redman’s.

In 1971, the Redman family acquired Albion Farm after years abroad. Longing for Australia, they tasked their family with finding a serene place to raise their children. Renovating the old federation homestead, managing family life, business, and gardens proved challenging yet rewarding.
